Vale de Cambra, Portugal

It's where I was born.  I am so far from it right now, but in my heart I am always close to the richness and depth of wisdom inherent in the place and people. I visit often to enjoy many conversations, jokes and stories with my parents as they recall their own experiences of youth growing up in the very same region.  There is a bond I feel with the ancient past when I visit my own designated spiritual sites filled with architecture, painted tiles, the sound of music played through unusual instruments, "fadistas" singing songs of sadness and "saudade" which means a kind of longing for the simplicity of the old ways, the tall eucalyptus trees and the fragrant rosemary bushes or olive trees.  When I open my heart to it all, I am once again rooted in joy!  Come visit with me sometime...I'm toying with the idea of facilitating creativity retreats throughout the country....especially at a place called, The Artspace Hotel.
