Temple of Kom-Ombo – Another day of Creation

The Temple of Kom-Ombo is filled with hieroglyphics of Horace (representing the Light) and Sobek (representing the Dark). 

HorusThe building is unique because it was built as a double temple.  There were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for both gods, Horus, the falcon god and Sobek the god of fertility and creator of the world.  Everything is perfectly symmetrical along the main axis, having this be a very atypical temple.
